ALVIN E. HARRIS, Ed.D.

Alvin Harris is the founder of Razor’s Edge Leadership Group. He has an enormous amount of experience in leadership positions stemming from civilian employment, military appointments, religious settings and in formal educational arenas.  He has over thirteen years of leadership training in the military from commanding a Medium Transportation Company with more than 200 soldiers for two years. He also served in a leadership capacity while serving in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  Dr. Harris has extensive experience as an Educational Leader in two school systems (Memphis City and Shelby County Schools). He has been a featured speaker for the Aspiring Administrators Program, hosted by Shelby County Schools. He has served in numerous leadership capacities at his church Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Harris has received his formal training in Educational Leadership from the University of Memphis, where he received his Doctorate degree.
